CHAINSTITCH EMBROIDERY

Each of our pieces is created one at a time using a hand-operated vintage chain stitch embroidery machine. This machine was made in the 1920s and has been creating beautiful items for generations.

While most modern machine embroidery these days is computerized and automated, this machine is fully guided by hand. For this reason, no two pieces are exactly alike.

Our machine is almost 100 years old, and it runs like a dream. That's not to say these machines don't have their quirks. It takes a lot of fine tuning for the stitching to look just right, and a lot of oil to keep the machine running smoothly.
